Volunteer Clean-Up Event

There is a community clean-up event at the cemetery, located at 2012 Hernando Road, from 7am to 1pm on Saturday, August 29. Please consider donating a few hours of your time to help cut grass, trim trees, and haul debris from this sacred space. MUSE has made great progress since this project began, but there’s only so much that can be accomplished without additional financial, informational, and environmental support from the Memphis community. Let’s help ourselves restore and beautify the graves of those family, friends, and neighbors whose final resting place is Hollywood Cemetery. We will set up tents and provide water, sodas, and hot dogs for refreshments.

Bring any landscaping tools you have! Lawnmowers and tree trimmers highly needed. Pick-up trucks to remove debris. Keep cool! Bring water! Wear boots with bugs spray, sun UV blocker and wear sun hats! Those of us who can’t make it are definitely with you in SPIRIT!
