Hollywood Cemetery Task Force and Team Meeting

Greetings Fellow Hollywood Cemetery Restoration Hosts & Workers! Please review the critical updates and action items below ahead of our upcoming October events and our next meeting.

Musician Swap for Oct 9: We have a lineup change for the Zen House benefit show. A new band of seasoned musicians—including an 82-year-old veteran player—is stepping in. To keep things easy and low-pressure for them, they are approved to play the same Furry Lewis or Frank Stokes track that two other bands are already covering. Since only one song per band will make it onto the final live LP, this overlap is perfectly fine.

Poster Edits Needed: Because of the lineup change, the event poster needs immediate updating. Josh has been unreachable—but I will keep trying!

Grant Strategy Breakthrough: We have officially joined forces with a professional grant-writing team. They confirmed that using a Memphis address for MUSE is completely sufficient for local grant eligibility. We do not need to jump through hoops to create a separate subsidiary, and we are already successfully registered with the State of Tennessee for charity requests.

Porta-Potty Rental: We need someone to take point on renting and scheduling the delivery of a porta-potty for the October 10–12 volunteer cleanup weekend.

Food & Table Coordination: We need to finalize the potluck logistics for the October 10–12 mobilization. Please confirm who is bringing folding tables for the staging area and what food or drinks you plan to contribute to keep the volunteer crew fed.
